What
is J-Squad?
J-Squad
is a ministry designed specifically for students between 6th
and 8th grades.
J-Squad meets every Wednesday evening from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Junior high is often a transitional time of growth and development
for most students. Sometimes junior highers want to be children
again, and sometimes they want to be treated like adults. They
still need their parents, but their friends are becoming more and
more important in their lives. Our Junior High ministry at
Covenant encourages both parents and their children to communicate
openly and to keep
life in perspective. Our youth leaders guide
our 6th- through 8th-graders into discovering who they are in
Jesus Christ and how He wants them to mature. These caring adults
take time each week to interact with our Jr. Highers, loving them
for who they are, and encouraging them to live like Jesus.
Both
J-Squad and Senior
High students have the opportunity to attend yearly
retreats and participate in bi-monthly activities. Missions trips
are also planned on a bi-yearly basis.
