The Worship and Music Ministry at Covenant Baptist Church carries an awesome and intense responsibility: to lead the body into sincere worship. When our worship leads people to the heart of God, the result is passionate worship and service. We want to maximize our passion for God's greatness in our own hearts and in the world we live. Each Sunday morning we gather to worship God by expressing our love to Him for who He is, what He has done, and what He is doing. As we seek God and listen to His Word, we then respond by offering Him our praise, prayers, gifts, and ourselves.

Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for 
they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. 

John 4:23

It is the mission of CBC Worship and Music Ministries to engage those who worship, of all ages, in

• the praise and worship of God,

• the encouragement and edification of the body of Christ,

• and the presentation of saving grace to the lost,

• incorporating all of the arts and all of our God-given talents, to the full glory of God.

Educationbecause each generation learns to express its faith differently, we will train and develop those who worship, as well as those who lead the church in corporate worship.

Balancein an age when the church is divided by its preferences, we will invite all believers to sit together in worship, believing that the body of Christ is enriched and strengthened by a common worship experience.

Integritywe will be true to the Word of God, we will live lives of true Christian character, we will work together in grace, and we will honor God in every endeavor.
